Report for RodBow

Post by SHOWBOAT »

As I promised you at the meeting Thursday, a report from the weekend.

Tried three times to put the boat in the water this weekend. Technical difficulties all three times. Sat never made it from the ramp at Ecky. Sunday made it about a quarter mile down the Econfina before dying and paddling back. Sunday afternoon went for scallops, ran to the east flats. First stop and a quick search revealed an even half dozen. Tried relocate; dead battery (even though I had only purchased it about 2 hours earlier). Pull started with the anchor rope and headed for the hill at WOT, pissed.

Sorry, no pics

Only good news, I was at the ramp early and therefore didn't create any ramp clusters, mechanic says he'll have back to me by the end of the week. Oh yea, and I now have two new batteries as well.

Guess this really should have been in boating instead of fishing....gggrrrrrhhhhh!

apparently its not charging the battery. Why, I don't have a clue.

All I know is that if this week of reports is as good as the reports everyone posted last week, then I should start experiencing withdraw siezures pretty soon.

Blessing in disguise!

Glad you got back to hill before the storm Sun afternoon.
Some of my neighbors got caught out and had some
horror stories about how bad it got.
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
