kid fishing at Panacea

Post by bman »

Took my friend John Webb and his son Walker out to catch some fish.
Walker has been fishing but has not caught a fish.
The goal: Walker must catch a fish unassisted.

We ran out and got a few casts in before a storm cloud ran us in- I got one keeper- about 20 "

Then Walker reeled in a lady fish that I hooked-

The clouds were building so we ran into HookWrecks and had a snack while a storm cloud blew through- Seafood Nachos :lick: :lick:

We ran back out and baited walker up with Shrimp... moments later he caught his first fish ever! We pulled out the net to assure we got it in the boat.

A few moments later fish #2

and #3 The Sponge Bob Rod is deadly!

Walker caught a number of other pin fish and had a trout break the line right at the boat :smt009

I finished the day with a nice 23 incher...

Far from a serious trip but a lot of fun and good to see My buddy and his son having fun together!

Far from a serious trip
Sorry Bman.... I'm gonna have to disagree. All things considered, you'll be hard pressed to ever have a better trip. In addition to the experience and his Dad, You will forever be special to a young man... can't even begin to put a value on that. :D Good job.

My first thought is that is an old man's hat- but it will keep my ears from burning.
