Econfina 8/11/07

Post by CairoTrout »

Bad behavior and I began our voyage out of Econfina around 6:45 and we had all intensions of returning with 10-11 pounds of trout and man were we discouraged when we returned. We ended the day with probably 7.5-8 pounds of fish and were late to the weigh in due to game wardens and scallopers. We probably caught 30-40 trout with the average being around 14.5" as Chalk would call it they were all skewl trout. But all in all we had a great trip, especially the well deserved hot dogs that were cooked when we got to Jerry's. Thank all of you who participate in these great events and I have not met a bitter person yet in the whole club. Bad Behavior thanks for the trip and putting up with me all day, and oh yeah love the power pole. Look forward to next time.

I was heading back from White Water Rafting the Ocoee comming south on 319. I was watching the thunderstorm over Tallahassee and hoping the tournament hadn't been blown out. I looked up and saw Bird Dog with Nutcracker II headed north with Bad Behavior not far behind. There were a number of other boats as well. Not sure if they were with the tournament, but thought they might have been. There was a Skeeter and a Century. Glad you guys got to fish and eat some dogs!!! Who won?
