Fly Fishing Carrabelle for the Tournament

Post by Capt Reggie »

:smt006 I'm looking for a couple of fly guys who want to enter the challenge with me and fish fly equipment in this next tournament! Yeah, we may be at a disadvantage. Possibly, we could catch very little. Or, we could open the eyes of some conventional anglers and place quite highly - who knows? Options are open, my boat or yours. We can share the expenses. Let's talk about it - before, during, and after the meeting on Thursday night! Who wants to play? :email: or pm me!!!

Do they make a gulp fly or do you just cut off a slice and put it on the flies hook.

I hear they now have gulp spray soak them flies all up in it!

Just watch your T top right Captain Wedgie?
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

:smt006 Sorry, no Gulp flies there WAM...no need to soak flies in the Gulp juice, either! Oh, and I'll be watching out for T-Tops - Reggie does not want to hurt anymore expensive fly rod tips out there on the water!

About 5 years ago there were 2 guys who fished TeamSeatrout with flies.
They did extremely well, even placing in the $$ several times.

 Gee, JT, you almost sound like you could be ready to pick up a "long rod"! Many years ago there existed a "fly club" that held a "Two Fly Tournament", hosted by some big names and carried on very well...I understand they caught lots of fish and won some $ fishing ONLY "two flies"! Not me though, I need a battery of flies to catch some fish - even trout! I'm still waiting for some "fly guys" to enter with me - who wants to step up?

Reggie:

I am in for the Carrabelle trip using fly equipment. We can even try the spray if you want to.

:smt005 Oh No, don't be telling them that - they'll think we'll be spraying that Gulp stuff on our flies! Great to have you on board, TallyFly - we it! Your boat or mine? :lick:

 Okay, JT51, sign up TallyFly & Capt. Reggie for the Carrabelle Tournament on 8 September - we'll be fishing it with our fly rods! Hey, you "closet" fly fishermen out there - we need some competition...get a team together and help us out here! But, if now, we are in it just to have fun and pester the fish with our "long rods". :smt007
