Shell Point 9/1 - 9/2

Saturday-My wife and I started out Saturday morning going to pick the boat up. Get the boat set up and go to lower the trailer ball onto the hitch on the truck. PING!...the trailer will not lower! Take the top off of the jack and notcie the gear is now missing teeth...ugh :( . Go to Mike's Marine and buy a new one. Get it on and get to the ramp about 2.5 hours late. Tide is out and now there's just not enough water to launch the boat. Load up and go home. Sunday- My friend Mark wants to go fishing and my wife wants to take my boat out too. Meet up, get to the ramp and get both boats in the water (yaayyy). Its foggy so we follow my wife (Mark doesn't have a GPS yet) to a new fishing spot using the GPS in my boat. We start fishing and can't get anything to hit for a while. We try all of our lures, jigs and even shrimp....nothing! The fog had burned off so we tried some more spots...2 catfish. Mark wants to move to a different area and tries to trim his motor down....nope, can't get the motor back into the water :o . Now Mark had broken his leg and just git the cast off so I drop into the water and bring the boat up on a sandbar. We check everything out and find that his fuse box had come loose and had 2 fuses popped out. Fixed it and decide to head back. Get Marks boat on his trailer, call the wife and get into my boat. We head to Ocklocknee Shoals to play in the water and I realize that I hurt my back when I slipped in Mark's boat earlier. Relax in the water and head home. Waiting for next weekend....if it turns out any worse than last week I won't be alive to regret it :smt011

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
