we picked up a few more grouper on the 2nd and 3rd hole, but the bite gradually went away. Shoulda been back at the hill by noon but we were hardheaded and toughed it out til 3:00 or so.

The best bite was in 45' of water on live and dead bait. Fished out to 70', but the bite was gone by then.

Ended the day with 6 gags and 3 reds, with a few triggers, grunts, spanish and rockers thrown in.

Can't wait til next time.

I caught numerous keeper gags in 20'-30' ft. last year right off the back side of DI near the 3 mile reef. We marked the #'s in 6 different spots and have trolled the area with good success.....even pulled a 16 lb. red grouper off it last November trolling a stretch 30.
