Dang. I came across the 98 bridge Tuesday evening and I thought I saw dry ground where the river used to be. I figured it was just a case of "not seeing what I thought I saw", but apparently I did.

I don't think it is dry at the park landing guys. I think they are talking about hwy 98 bridge. I can't see how it can be dry at the ramp at the park, since tidal flow would fill it there...
Don't panic.....

The more I know about something, the more I know that I did not know as much as I thought I knew that I knew.

I'm going by the first sentence in the article.
At the Econfina River Boat Ramp in Taylor County, you don't need a ramp or a boat to get in the river. That’s because the river is dry.

Last Thursday I was driving around, went down Hickory Mound and then went to the ramp right off 98 and it was dry as a bone all the way past the bridge. I walked around is absolute disbelief. One moccasin was lying in a small puddle that I almost mistook for a stick. I headed down to the landing and the tide had water pushed up to the lip of the ramp.
If we are not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?

I wonder Aucilla looks like at the bridge, it has a lot of tidal flow as well. On second thought the Wacissa pumps into the Aucilla...never mind
