Fished the Dusty Econfina today

Post by Dubble Trubble »

Well, with WCTV reporting that anky was dry, I just had to go see.. :-D

Figured I might could catch a fish if all I had to do was walk out on the rocks and pick 'em up......

Got to the landing, and danged if I did not need my boat after all....

Anyway, headed out to my hole around rock island area and proceeded to boat about 10 limits of trout......just there were not many keepers...but it is sure looking good for a few months from now when all those 14 3/4" trout are over 15.....

The bite was good almost all the time we were on the water, and we did manage to get 4 keeper trout and 2 keeper rock bass for the day... :-?

We only caught 3 trash fish all day, one lizard, one pinfish, and a pufferfish. That was a nice change from the last time I went....

It was nice to get back out on the water since we had quit fishing when the weather got so hot and the scallopers took over the landings... :smt014

Great day on the water, nice breeze all day and it did not even feel hot today.....

I sure can feel that fall in the air.....

Forgot to take a shot of the fish before I cleaned them, but nothing to brag about as the biggest trout was 16 1/4".

Wonderful slow ride back to the landing, and home for a cold beer....

State should either remove or repair the doubledecker before
someone gets hurt! Since when does anyone expect a small sign
to deter people from access?

Great pic of "dry" river! :-D
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
