Just how tough is 14lb Stren Super Braid? How about I caught a 7 foot 140lb Lemon shark that I fought for almost 2 hours, ask Trouttrent he put the gaff in him. And just to think the hole time we thought we had a Tarpon that didn't like to jump

some of those tarpon guys regularly land 150-200 pounders on 16lb test line. Spool the reel with what ever gets you the most distance and spend the money on good leader.

I have Berkley Big Game and Power Pro on all my offshore stuff.
I just wanna witness to the people about the power pro line. We went to St Mark's Reef one day just cause the weather was nice and mojo had nothing on him but stradics with the 10lb green power pro. We were chucking live palm-sized pinfish on I think 35lb braided leaders. He hooked into something that ran for cover and fought it for just about exactly 30 minutes, at which time I thought his line popped. He pulled up a completely in tact line and leader with a 3/0 circle hook bent to almost a straight line.

So if ya want something that don't break easily and don't mind spending $40 on a couple hundred yards, I'd recommend trying it; however it seems like the fish bite on my $6 cajun line a little more often for some reason :D
