I realize that I am looking ahead, but the real test for Florida will be Oct. 8 when they visit a little place called LSU. Florida's good, but if they win that one they oughtta move to number one.

Hopefully FSU shows up in the first quarter and plays through all four in CO. Go 'Noles

Owned between the hedges by Spurrier again ?????? What is Spurriers record between the hedges ? Any intelligent gators got an answer ????? I'm listening ???
Its a winning record after the beating UGA took last weekend isnt it? UGA managed to win what, one time, while he was at UF. Now he has taken a team that use to be a doormat and whips the puppies at home. Please tell me you are not about to talk smack about the man. But its probably hard to see out of those red and black glasses you got.

BAD BEHAVIOR wrote:It was 49-3 at half time Welby!! UF made the mistakes you would expect a young team to make. They came out for the third quarter with the big head. Those thirty one points may just have been what the doctor ordered to help Urban Meyer get his young team's attention for this weekend. UF by 9+. :smt004

Good luck to your team BB....and thanks for the Carrabelle info....I do appreciate it, but I would be lying if I said anything other than I will be pulling against them Gators this weekend......oh, and Go Dawgs !!!

Best I can recollect it's 2-1 with a 52-17 whooping, worst ever at Sanford Stadium but so what. He's owned the Dwags ever since he won the Heisman at Florida. Go ahead and admit it, You Idolize Him secretly :smt005 :smt005 Now You have a new Coach to Idolize in Urban Meyer

Dream on brother, dream on...Yes Spurrier is a fine coach, I'll give you that, right up until you put a microphone in front of him....A touch of class he ain't (did you see the after game interview). We'll gladly keep what we have in Athens....there's a lot to be said for class....

Hrm well this isn't my battle and I already picked Florida to win this game earlier in the thread, but I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with that last statement...I was an FSU student during the 96 championship game, and I still remember the score, 52-20, because that's all I heard about from the 'Gator nation' for several years thereafter even though FSU won 5 of the next 7 meetings...wait... that's not all I heard from them...I also heard several times during the Zook era that the overall series score still had UF up by 8-10 games...

I think the Gator nation lives in the now...right now....because the now is good...for now...

The Doormat

Post by Pirate »

Welby,
Wonder if Catch 22 self imploded year before last when the doormats, with his hero, Spurrier, coaching them, took it to his beloved reptiles. All that Florida saltwater must have some effect on memory.

Spurrier Boy

Post by Pirate »

Oh, I see now! Your just a Spurrier boy who is still reeling because U. of Florida wouldn't sell more oranges to match the Redskins offer. Maybe if some of you "long time supporters" would have come off the hip he wouldn't have left mama and the kids for greener pastures. Well, I'll tell you. He's not the most popular guy in Columbia. Any decent coach could win some games up here without running the players down in the media. He had his run at Florida not Carolina. Do ya'll want him back? Oh, by the way, were you a Florida fan when they were the doormat or just since the've had a good run? That's the test of a real fan!
