I bought one of these units new approx. 2 months ago and have had trouble with the gps losing signal. The unit has an internal antenna and is mounted on top of my center console with nothing obstructing its view of the wild blue yonder. Anybody have any suggestions?

Assuming there is nothing wrong with the unit :o I'd check to make sure my power to the unit was stable and not causing a problem.

Had that problem with two different units / brands from inadequate power. The connections weren't loose on the unit in either case, but loose battery connections, or battery switch not wired for optimum power etc...

I had a similar problem with a new Lowrance 5300c right out of the box. Kept losing signal & only accurate to within 180ft when it did get a signal. Their technical support was not very helpful at all, so I ended up returning it to Bass Pro & sticking with my garmin handheld.
