Anyone Fishing Tomorrow?

Post by Ron Wilson »

Got a dog to drop off at the Tally airport at 0530. Picking up another dog.......8:00 at night.....was thinking about dragging the boat down and braving the rain to fill the time gap.

Dern :o . Must be living in a cave. Heard we had some weather moving in, but didn't know how bad. Just saw the forecast on Weather Channel. Figures. Got an opportunity to fish and we've got a monsoon moving in. Oh well, we need the rain.

I hear you Ron. My Dad and I were going to go today. He called yesterday and said, "You seen the weather?" I looked and told Dad that if we left at 11:00 PM we could be in Savanah, GA at daybreak to fish. That was the only place in the southeast that didn't have 20 - 30 knot winds. He wasn't up for that.

I thought about going to the river tomorrow. I passed over the bridge tonight and it looked like a giant yoo-hoo was poured in it. Might be a good day to spread some "yellow acorns" for deer.

Yep. Hated to lose an opportunity to fish today, been coming few and far between, but it would have been miserable if I would have pushed the issue.

No doubt Ron. The last time we decided "to heck with it, we're going anyway" we wound up taking the Bass Tracker out of Panacea to Jack's Island. Miserable. The wind kicked up around 20 knots and we headed back through some rough water. I just still remember the wall of water coming over the bow of the boat every time we hit a wave. It made for a good story, but we'll just tell that one once.
