I have an older unnamed lawn mower that's beginning to get frustrating.
A while back I got to the bottom of my gas can and got some crud in the carb system and it wouldn't run. I was able to clean the bowl and needle valve and stuff and got it running OK - 1st or 2nd pull - no sweat.
Now a 1/2 an hour into mowing it'll just quit. I found that the RJ10LM plug was getting fouled and a simple wire brush job on it would get it going again, and again, etc.
Q: What is causing the plug to get all carboned up so quickly? I do the oil changes (lug nut replacement) and stuff and its been a good $200 Wally World mower.
Would a hotter plug help out?
Thanks

FUEL JET SET TOO HIGH
DO WHAT JT 51 SAID AND ALSO TURN THE SET SCREW CLOCK WISE 1/4 TURN, THIS WILL CUT DOWN ON THE AMOUNT OF FUEL ENTERING THE CARB. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK, TURN THE GAS SET SCREW ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THEN TURN IT COUNTER CLOCK WISE 1 1/2 TURNS AND THAT SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, DO THIS AFTER CLEANING THE TANK AND BOWL ON THE CARB.
