Econfina 10-7

Post by dawghouse1 »

Put in at 10 hoping that Noaa would be wrong. A friend and I had committed to taking our boys earlier in the week so we fiqured it would be easier to fight the wind than change plans. The wind wasn't unbearable due to the direction if you stayed in close. The fishing was pretty slow for us after catching a keeper on the first cast. My buddy did catch his biggest trout ever at a whisker under 27"(after being on ice for 4 hours). I tried to knock him off with the net like he did with a "Mogan Trout" of mine last fall but I gave up after a couple of attempts. :D We were off the water at 3 with only 3 keepers(15,19,27"). Caught several short trout and a couple short reds. Most all the fish were caught on jerk baits in 2-4'. Water temp was 80. Not good but better than I was expecting with the forcast.

Camera got stolen out of my wife's car. :smt013 I've got some pics on a disposable and on my phone. Any suggestions on getting them from the phone to here are appreciated.
