Econfina 10/13

Post by dawghouse1 »

Took a quick trip with the wife and kids on Saturday. We put in at 2 and were out at 6. My 4 year old son who gets to go on most trips with me enjoyed explaining all the do's and don'ts to his mom and sister. It was nice to hear that he was right on what he was telling them which means he actually does listen to some of the answers to the 3000 questions he asks per trip. :hammer:
We fished mostly in 1.5-3.5'. Only had two keepers to show for our efforts, a 17" trout and an 18.5" red both on a bite-a-bait. I did catch( or I should say hooked and let the kids catch) my first three reds on a gold spoon all of which were 17-17.5". The much discussed "Chunk and Wind" technique works. The water was pretty stained and down to 75.5 degrees. Not many fish but the weather turned out great. Hopefully we will replace the camera this week so I can get some pics.
