I've got my boat in dry storage at Panacea Harbor Marina. I need to have my trim/tilt unit replaced and the mechanic needs the boat at his shop to do the repairs. Here's the kicker, I don't have a trailer.
Any chance anyone has a trailer capable of hauling a 26 foot boat that they'd let me borrow/rent? I would only need it long enough to pull the boat out of the water, drive it maybe 1/3 of a mile to the mechanic's shop, leave it there long enough for him to do the repairs (1-2 days) and then haul the boat 1/3 of a mile back to the marina. I may also be able to work a deal where, if your boat is currently on the trailer, you could store your boat in my rack while I borrow/rent the trailer. I could probably also work it out where the marina would agree to put you in and out if you needed to use your boat during that time.
Another possibility is that I have a certificate for a 9 month slip rental at the Carrabelle Boat Club. If Panacea isn't your area, I might be able to work it out where you could use the CBC while I used the trailer.
If you've never gotten to experience dry storage service and it's convenience, this could be your chance. It'll spoil you!
If anyone is feeling inclined to help, please let me know. I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.
