Last nights NFGFC speaker,Junior Dice said all he targets is BIG FISH. If smaller fish get caught that is fine too.
Junior said for Big trout fish structure,any kind of structure. Rocks,oyster bars,shell bottom,sand bottom,mud bottom,stringy grass,drop-offs,humps. Anything that resembles a difference in your surroundings.
How deep does he fish?
Answer; "I't cannot get too shallow."
What does he fish?
Answer; "Topwater lures." SheDog,Skitterwalk,Zara Spook,TopDog.
Colors?
Answer; Pink,Black and Chrome,Bone,Chartreuse.
Any other baits?
Answer; Ocassionally Bite a Bait,Cajun Thunder corks with GULP!!
How often does he fish?
Answer; 27-28 days a month.
How long before you give up on a fishing hole?
Answer; No bites in 30 minutes...leave and find something else.
His opinion of the best way to catch fish.
Answer; GO FISH.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?

IMO, this is the best piece of info Jr. shared. I told Jr. I thought it was the best piece if information he shared. He smiled.

I think he's dead on about topwaters and shallow water....Bout all I fish are topwaters and occasional 52m.

Seagurl asked a ? of JR. after he was done talking and I thought it was a good ?,,,,How deep will you fish with top water his answer was I'll fish it all the way out to 9ft or so :o and do well on it.

Good summary. If you've been doing that all along.....missed 'em and will stay tuned to post meeting reports. If this is the first time.......I vote (if I have one) to make it the norm. :thumbup:

Totally missed that...thanks for passing it on. I usually give TW a try in water of any depth as they are my favorite, but generally the deeper I go with tw, the more ladyfish I get :roll: Have done well in 7 to 9 a few times on tw though, you know...when they weren't biting the GULP!
