Spring Warrior 10/21

Post by beatswork »

Got to the ramp at Spring Warrior at 7 am. just me and my oldest son. It has been a while since he wanted to go fishing, being 16 I guess he has other priorities, so I really wanted to put him on some fish today.

Motored on to the mouth of the creek.

Time to throw my favorite top water.

Poled around the bars and grass, did not do much more than spook some baitfish. Changed lures a bunch of times would drift from shore out to about 4 foot of water and then motor back in to drift again. We slung mirrorlures, grubs of all sizes and colors and only managed one keeper trout. The fish had us working today. Wind was bad all morning. Got back to the ramp around 1:00. Just in time to watch some football.

Great day on the water though. Can you beat this view?

Shoulda waited a day or two afta the blow.

I wanted to go but was scared of the effects of the front.

I called James he said it hasn't been happening for most folks but he expects it to bust loose any day.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?
