Why not build one without the glass? Just wood, painted, maybe glass the stress points. Then U have less $ and time invested, then when it falls apart in 10 years, build another.

Because it wouldn't last 6 months...the fiberglass and epoxy is what holds it together and protects it...even if I built using the frame and batten method fiberglass is still required.
The hull is only 1/4" plywood...imagine clipping along at 25 mph and hitting something without fiberglass.
I'm gonna build another...just got to finish this one before I can antagonize my designer into doing the design for me
I couldn't stand it nor could my back ...but the center cockpit structural components are glassed in....only thing left structurally is the rear bulkheads and motor well and glassing the outside...tempted to stay up all night and knock it out
