Here I am again. Like I said , Ive been out of town. It has occured to me the honor and grace you guys have in this victory and again I offer my most sincere KUDOS. There is only one major point you guys are missing. UF has a goal of a National Title every year. UGA has a goal of beating UF each year. I guess when you have one goal you live for in a season, it is very satisfying to acheive that goal 3 out of 18 times. I mean its only been about ten years since UGA won right?? Im proud for you guys. Nah, really I am. Kind of like in the special Olympics when Corky finally makes it over the bar, just a tear jerking moment , I tell ya!!!

Like FSU, UF will have it's ugly years again and UGA will have it's wonder years that's one of the reasons I TRY not to get to uppity when the Noles are flying high there is always a painful landing when the air is taken out

Spoken like a true Gator fan! It's obvious you aren't a Dawg fan or you would know Florida is only one of our border rivals. Our goals are the same as you say UF's are. The road to the SEC or National Championship very seldom go through Gainesville and the Florida game counts exactly the same as say the Auburn, Vandy or anybody else on UF's or UGA's schedule. Florida is special only in Florida fans eyes, not to everybody else. When teams do beat UF they enjoy it a little extra simply because UF fans always like to rub their victories in a little extra.
Actually we have 2 National Titles in the last 20 years which is exactly two more than UGA. Not trying to be critical or anything, not trying to ruffle your feathers. And guess what, we play all the same teams, hence UF is an SEC team also. All I tried to do was offer my congrats and state a few facts. You guys give the Gators helk because we've lost three this year. When was the last season UGA didnt lose at least three?? Both teams are very young and should be very strong in the next couple of years. My point was simple. You talk to any UGA fan and ask them if they can win any one game this year, which would it be? I bet 90% say cocktail party, Jacksonville. You ask a UF fan which game they would choose, they say National Title. Simple as that. Oh yea before somebody throws it in, UGA leads the all time series 47-38. A lead developed mostly in the 60's and a little in the late seventies, early eighties. Again, I hope UGA makes it to the SEC championship game and wins out. Theyre certainly due!!

Oh, and you can't just start keeping score when UF starts winning. If thats fair then the Dawgs are ahead 1-0. Heck, we do have to remember, its just a game!

Your whining is unbecoming. In the modern era of National Champs, Florida has one more than Georgia. There is no other significant historical football category that Florida leads Georgia in. Until Spurrier, Florida was always a 2nd class program. Without Spurrier, it is fast returning to its former status.

Huh? I offered Kudos to you guys, I hoped UGA made it to the SEC championship and you say I have no class??? Dude take your geritol, your mind's slipping!!! On that day in that game, UGA was the better team. They play again really no telling who wins with the teams we both have. Neither team has been exactly stellar this year. Lets not get into class, Meyer didnt have to use illegal actions at the beginning of the game which warranted an apology from Richt to the SEC to motivate his team. Not saying it wasnt cool to see but not very classy. Kinda like when Earnhardt wrecked Labonte on the last lap to win the race a few years back, cool as hell to watch but not really the right thing to do...........

MD , I hope you dont actually believe that. Meyer is a very good coach and I believe he will continue the winning tradition at UF. Again , I hate that I dont have the wisdom of age to know when UF was a second class program, but as long as Ive been alive theyve been very competitve. I could very easily say that UGA hasnt been a force since Dooly but they have had some good teams in the years since. We had our Zook, ya'll had your Goff and I think we can both be happy we have who we do as they are both fine coaches and should keep the rivalry a little more competitive in the years to come. Its refreshing to see UGA win again, now maybe I can keep my tickets next year instead of donating them as maybe UGA will be more competitive! I so look forward to next year.
