Fishing NFGFC Saturday

Post by Ty one on »

Met CC and SNR around 6am Saturday morning.

We put the boat in around 7:15am at the Fort. We waited for some daylight, it arrived about 7:30am.

First stop was at Redfish Point. Fished there about two hours and picked up two trout. one 19" and a 16"er. Then we moved to Cobb Rocks. There we picked up two slot Redfish and a 22" Trout. We were unable to back up the trout. Around 11:45 am we went to one of CCs spots and were able to pick up two over 19" and a 17.5"er.

It was enough to have 11.5lbs. and first place for the day.

We had a great time fishing and at the cookout. It was nice to see everyone.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.

Enjoyed it Ty...had a great time BS'ing with you and SNR on the boat and netting y'alls fish. Look forward to doing it again sometime!

Highlight of the day: We're fishing at Cobb Rocks, SNR is on the poling platform, Ty's up front, and I'm in the middle. SNR hooks a fatty red with four buddies with it, Ty flips beyond them snags our 22" trout who had some buddies with it, just as big or bigger, and they're telling me to cast to the fish...meanwhile, I've just gotten hung on a rock and all I can do is watch and net. For a second there, it felt like we were fishing in an aquarium there were so many fish around...:o
Boom goes the dynamite.
