Lanark 11/4

Post by noleflyfisher »

Quick report. On the water at 9:00 off at 2:00. Tons of little reds throughout the day sunning over mud. Very skittish and lots spooked from the fly line in the air. Switched from the 8 to the 6 weight and downsized my fly with better results. Also saw a few big trout in sandholes and on top of some real skinny bars. Good day despite the minimal water exchange.

The Noles made my weekend last night . . . today was gravy.

If we are not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?

Me too, but I'm not sure I could have traded it for those fish.
Nice job, for sure.
I missed Oct completely, which I believe is criminal. I keep telling myself that
I'm banking water time for the cold days -which are my favorite.
Cold front Wed, it is time.
