Boy that was a real squeaker!! If I'm not mistaken, there was only 1 point separating first and second last year as well. 1 and 2 both deserve a big attaboy  And congratulations to all the anglers who hung in there all year long. Best strings of fish we've ever seen produced by this club. Extra motivation provided by Bad Behavior  Good job and a special congratulations to the tournament director for the job he did and then went fishing and made everybody chase him most of the year to boot :D

Thanks TC and JT. I had a blast this year and picked up some good knowledge along the way.

Congrats Casey and Colby (Katie too I guess); well done.

Thanks for fishing the last one with me Jeff.

See ya'll at the Christmas party.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Thanks everyone for a great year. Great job JT and TC for both helping to grow our club and for putting on top-notch tournaments.

Special thanks to all those people who I’ve had the opportunity of fishing with (both for fun and in the tournaments) this year. The key to winning A.O.Y. is picking good partners and I’ve had some damn good ones this year.

For all the lurkers out there, if you really want to improve your fishing skills, join the NFGFC…it combines some of the nicest people with some of the most knowledgeable fisherman in the area. I’ve learned more about inshore fishing in the last 12 months through NFGFC than I probably would have learned in 10 years fishing by myself.

I’ll be out of town for the November meeting, but plan on seeing y’all at the XMAS party!
Boom goes the dynamite.

I believe any travel by the 2008 Angler of the Year elect must be approved by the TD and one other officer.... request for travel authorization should be submitted on the edge of a $20 dollar bill. 8)

Thanks to everyone that played a part in the tournements this year I look forward to every one. Thanks to Tin-can and Jumptrout for overseeing such an event. Also congrats to Casey Cook for winning angler of the year. It went down to final event which made for a whole lot of fun. Also congrats to Colby Melton (Little Skeeter) for battling it out with Austin Trent who was on my team for Jr. angler of the year. And last but certainaly not least congrats to Katie Showman for lady angler of the year. Me an Trouttrent has one more tourney to fish this Sunday and then we will wash the salt out of our reel for a while and get ready to hit Talquin for some winter time catfishin.

Just got in from Gainesville

It has been a great year with some great memories. Thanks to Steve (JT51) for taking the bull by the horns in search of new sponsers and new members.

Also John (TC) did a great job as tournament Director. The job can be thankless at times. It is certainly a job. When everyone is talking with each other the TD is working.

With the end of another season brings on winter and the holidays. It also brings a time to rest and get ready for 2008.

Thanks for all the hard work guys.
