Hunting or fishing?

Post by Hit-n-Miss »

:-D Who all has hung up their poles to play in the woods? I'm sure Mudduck is duck hunting, how about the rest of you? I have one deer in the freezer and need one more. Then it will be time for duckies till spring. :-D

Birds are at the forefront of my mind right now.
Dove, Duck etc.....

The sad / but really good thing- is that Ive been too busy to do much of either.
Dad has been catching a lot of reds and trout. I really want to get away with him.

Hunting has been all I can do 'cause it's close to home. Went Saturday morning and didn't see deer till we got out of the stands and back to the road. There were 6 does crossing the dirt road....we waited for them to cross, then pulled up to them. Then, out of nowhere, a huge buck jumped from the other side of the road back into the woods. He had been following the does and we spooked him. All we could do was watch him run away :x
Been waiting on this baby to get here so fishig has been out. The wife told me that if the baby gets here before Friday, I can go hunting Saturday    Thank goodness for mother-in-laws to help with new grandbabies  .....that's the only time I'll say that
We couldn't have picked a better time to have a baby. This year I have been given hunting privledges on 2 different leases and have access to a nice offshore boat anytime I want......and right now, I can't use either :smt013
