Access to the Forum problems.

Post by Cranfield »

I have been having problems getting on to the Forum in the last few days.
I kept getting this message right up until now;

"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@cedant.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

FastCGI: comm with (dynamic) server "/usr/local/etc/cgi-bin/php-fastcgi" aborted: (first read) idle timeout (30 sec) "

Has my subscription run out, or does Tom need to put another dime in the meter ? :wink:

I should add that I had to log in again today, despite saving the sites cookies and usually being automatically logged in on every visit.

It took me three attempts to make that post and five attempts to make the one in the Fishing section.

I kept getting this message;

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@cedant.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I think that our sudden growth spurt has put a bit of a load on the server :o but I'm sure that Tom is working feverishly to rectify the problem :-D MMMMM, know that I think about it :roll: I don't recall sending in my $10 sponsorship donation this year :hammer: :hammer:

I'm currently in the process of moving us to a bigger and better server. Just trying to find the time to do it, as the site will be down for a couple of days.

It will most likely happen towards the end of December. For now, just hang in there. Everyone gets the Internal Server Errors from time to time.

If you want to play around on the new server forum, have at it...

Please just give us a week or so notice. I will have to prepare mentally. :lol:

I encourage everyone to play with the new site and test out some of the enhancements. Also give me some feedback on speed, or any problems you encounter.

Be aware that links within past posts that reference other posts will bring you back here instead. That will be fixed with the site move.
