It's been a while since I've been in the salt so we finally went Friday. I traded my boat for a flats boat (thanks Will) so I could do a little bas fishing and trout if I got the itch. We started around 0900 after picked up a few shrimp and a license for my dad. Did catch much of anything until about noon when my buddy Mike caught a nice 21" trout. That was it for that. We ran all over trying to find a fish and nothing but sea bass. Some big enough to keep. The tide started coming back in around 2 or so so we headed to a shallow flat and just drifted over 1.5 feet of water throwing spinners. Mike hooked up with a nice 21" red and followed it with a stout 28"er that went back in. He wore us out today that's for sure. He had the only color they (redfish) would bite. Green/red flake strike king body. I threw all the other colors with only one look. Trout was a fluke  :-D . Caught on an electric chicken assasin. I was a fun trip and hope to do it again soon. For some reason I have the worst time catching fish the three days of the fool moon (1 day before, during, 1 day after)

 Good deal, CB - I'm glad to hear those fish are still around the area down there as I haven't been to KB since the summer - bummer. :smt010 Always great to take the dad fishing. We father's really appreciate you sons getting us out on the water at every chance. I know I really love my big son when he takes me out on his super fancy bay boat (it's a caddy compared to my "plain Jane" one). :smt007
