Lanark 11/29 and 12/2

Post by noleflyfisher »

Fished Thursday and today. Tides were not favorable either day and the fog and cloud cover made sight fishing tough. I landed three reds Thursday. Saw/spooked a ton more. I was basically casting to pushes and wakes all day.

Today, I couldn't get away from the rats. Little reds everywhere. The clouds opened up and the wind laid down at 12:00 making for some amazing sight fishing in gin clear water. I threw together a new pattern this week and the fish were crushing it. Even convinced a sheepshead to eat this new bug (twice). As usual, I couldn't get the point in him.
