St. Marks 12/4/07

Post by birddog »

I called TinCan at 5:30 this a.m. and twisted his arm until he agreed to go fishing with me. We met up at Savannah's for breakfast. The temp gauge on the truck said 32 degrees so we weren't in a hurry.

Launched from the LH around 7:30. We headed to a point Jumptrout was kind enough to share with me. I figured he was setting me up, but we caught the best redfish of the day there. Thanks JT

The tide today was low and slow but we made the best of it. We fished 1'-3' of water all day. Spoons, topwater and soft jerkbaits were on the menu. We finished the day with 7 reds to 29", 1 19" trout and a couple of bluefish.

It was a beautiful day on the water but a little chilly. Thanks for coming along TC.

Can't wait til next time.

Beyond this point there be Dragons

No subliminal message intended. Just a reflex reaction to The Dog. Don't even realize I do it.

Mr. Chalkley, I'll have you know I gave up watching soaps for the Food Network.

Birddog, thanks for the call, and the ride. I needed that.

Can't wait to do it again.
What was I supposed to do today?
