Me and Jeffry decided to get to the woods a little earlier than we did last week....in the stands, locked and loaded by 6:00am. It was quite foggy this morning, but the woods were alive with everything from squirrels to hawks. Didn't see any deer till 9:00am. They were a good 300 yards off, so I decided to get down and walk in their direction along the fenceline. I got about 50 yards, when in my opposite direction I hear BOOM!!!!......then another BOOM!!! So, I stopped my pursuit and headed the other way. Got down to where Jeffry was and he informed me that he just shot a nice spike and that it took off running. We walked just a short ways and found it right where Jeffry thought it went down. I had to drive the All-Terrain Geo again this morning because both of our trucks are down right now Drove it right back up in the woods and through a cornfield again this morning to fetch us another deer with no problem. This is starting to become a habit Time for more cube steak and sausage
Rocket, we probably could have got 3 more...them little jokers are all over the place. Saw 4 yesterday and went back this morning looking for another biggun' Had to settle for the smaller ones this morning though.....they'll make good sausage and cube steaks if nothing else
Best of all...they're great target practice
