Beautiful day to be on the water. Dropped the traier off the edge of the ramp at Mashes Sands this morning arount 9 ish. A very kind gentleman hellped me push my boat off the trailer into the negative low tide. I had my daughter and my dog with me. I learned just how "shallow" that darned bay actually is. Tried the deep holes first. Bottom finder showed scattereed groups of fish. but to takers. Went north of the bridge thinking i could find more holes but instead almost got stuck in .5 feet of water. Beautiful day to be on the water wether the fish were cooperating or not. Finally headed toward the "spit" of Mashes sands and free-lined some live shrimp over the oyster bars, and that seemed to be the ticket. Three quick hook-ups and dropped a 17" trout in the cooler. If you are headed down that way this week, try free lining a live shrimp on the rising tide. Left the fish biting. Wish I had found the ticket earlier... But the time i spent with my daughter and dog was awesome.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
