Lanark 12/13

Post by noleflyfisher »

On at 10:30, off at 4:00. Fished in the fog for the first couple of hours. I was surrounded by tails and fins but only managed one little red and a trout. Once the sun burned through I fished some potholes and caught a few trout and a couple more reds. Finished the day on a different flat that was covered with medium sized reds and some decent trout. One more red here and two 20+ inch trout. Highlight of the day was an eleven pound black drum that ate the fly twice in a foot of water. Had more refusals today than I can remember. Reds were TOUGH.

I bought a new digital video camera last weekend for my daughter's birthday party (at least that was the purpose given to the war room). I'll take my first crack at posting a video. The battery ran dead after a couple hours and before the black drum entered the picture. :smt013
