Looking to take the plung

Post by Capt_J »

I have fished power boats my whole life. I do get out in a 12' jon boat, with oars just to relax but I want (as does my wife) to go to Kayaking. I have access to Ocean Kayak, through a work affiliation. Anyone have an opinion on the Ocean Kayak (specifically the 15' Prowler)?

They make a good yak. You can buy them at a couple of places locally. Theystand by their product and they are very durable.

Try-out FCKA.com. To get in contact with local area Kayak fishermen.

You might also want to check out T-n-T at the foot of the Hwy 98 bridge on the Wakulla River. Rent a few, try'em out, see what you like and don't like. Talk to Robbie, very knowledgeable.

Kayaks are kind of like bicycles. The one you have shows you what you want in your next one. :-D
