First posting..st. marks 1/5/08

Post by No Slack »

This is my first time posting. I've been reading and learning for a while and now hope to share some reports with you guys and girls. Bought a boat (17' Kenner, 90 Johnson) back in October and have really enjoyed getting out on the flats. What a beautiful area to fish here on the Forgotten Coast. Saturday put in at Newport and went down St. Marks, low tide, almost slack, and caught about 15-20 trout, most short, 2 keepers for the pan. Fished with Jerry's shrimp and when I found them switched over to a sinking Mirrolure and caught the rest. Water temp was 58 according to my gauge. Thanks for all the great reports and I hope to meet some of y'all soon.
