1/8/08 East of the Lighthouse

Post by snatch-n-reel »

Dave and my self had a little afternoon of fishing East of the lighthouse. On the water at 12:15 off by 4:30. We fished the shallow flat around the rocks around stoney bayou for the first 45 minutues and got nothing. So then we moved in toward the grass line and the first fish in the boat was a 20" trout, sorry no picture Dave got it back in the water before I could get the camera out. Followed some creeks back a good ways and found what we were after.
First red
Image.
Spooked a small school of slot red as i reeled that one in. Sucked we spooked but cool to watch.
Futher we went the more we found.

Not too shabby especially for an Auburn fan. Did you lose a bet to somebody? :stupid_1

We both were throwing a white grub. Depth was anywhere from 18" - 6" caught one right on a ledge of a good size hole.
