Skinny water reds!

Post by flounderpounder »

My brother and I broke away today for a couple hours and threw the kayaks in the truck and hit the rising side of a good low.
We put in at 1:00 and were back at the house by 4:00. The first part of the incoming we only caught two reds my brothers 22" being the bigger of the two. Right around 2:30 the flood gates opened up for a solid hour I got into really good fish.
The first 26"er.

And a 29 plus inch fish.

Ended the day with 9 quality fish from 17"-29" caught on gulps and DOA. Most of the fish were caught chasing shrimp on the surface. There was a ton of bait in the water, which was strange for this time of year.

Tip of the week: Fish skinny water.
