A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I think I have (with everyones help) narrowed down my choices....I am thinking I might head down to advantage...and check their rods out... Has anyone tested the quantum energy reels?
So when my wife say my rod is inadequate for inshore fishing she's actually talking about red fish right?

I also visit to check out the Okuma Guide series.
I actually prefer ML Rods inshore with M for topwater.
All are 7ft and with braid I can't figure why I would need to cast farther.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
LITT... I feel I need to cast further to cover more ground.... I mean if Im not going to catch a fish (as in my last 2 trips) I want to be able to at least snag a gull or duck or something....
I went with the Hurricane Red Bones..... 7'6 spinning med light 7' casting med hvy....They feel sooo good.... and 89.99 at Sports Authority they actually had the biggest selection of rods in Tallahassee.

I f you want to catch gulls all you need is a T-Top. I had several land on mine last summer, drove my lab crazy.
