With quality stores like SGO and Kevin's owned by local people who contribute back to their respective communities, who cares?? I hope they never come. Kinda like the Walmart of sporting good stores. May have some decent prices , but you always pay sticker price, plus you'll be dealing with some 18 year old zit head that smacks bubblegum during the conversation your trying to have. Not jumping on Littoral, but Ill take the local stores any day of the week!!

Pretty sure it's true Lit, but don't know if plans have been finalized. I'm all for shopping local; but, there are somethings that local stores don't carry and don't want to b/c of space issues. Be nice to have somewhere to go for that stuff.

Kevin's holds a monopoly on the price of most specialty sporting goods in Tallahassee... especially ammunition. I welcome any new competition to the area. Don't get me wrong I like Kevin's, but I would take a lower price any day.

I think its a Sportsmans Warehouse not Bass Pro....90 and I-10 East...... Got the info in November from a client, but not 100%....

The Sportsmans Warehouse is going to be located in the Fallschase development on Mahan along with a Costco. I worked on the big development thats going in at Mahan and I-10 and never heard anything about Bass Pro. I actually heard that a Bass Pro was going to be built in Valdosta from City Planners when we were working on a job up there. If you look at their map you can kinda see a gap in the stars in our area.

The Tallahassee Metro area or commuter shed is getting to be around 300,000 and thats when alot of the regional chains start looking at new locations. There's rumors of a Pottery Barn coming, so don't tell your wives!!!

I e mailed Basspro last night. They said if it is not on this map it is not happening soon. Red stars indicate future stores.
