Fish Free Since 1-06-08.....

Post by fishfeeder »

On the water at the Fort at 12pm off by 5pm. Started at the mouth of the East River and worked the Bars about a quarter mile up the East River. Not a bite, nibble, look. Wind was blowing 15-20 out of the NNW. There was thick green algae all over the place. I threw white Gulp 4” Red 1/8 head Slow across the bottom – Silver Floating Plug slow twitch retrieve- gulp cream jerk shad un-weighted very slow return.

I am now really questioning this move from offshore to inshore. I may be forced to take a offshore day just to make myself feel better.

Hate it. I'd be kicking the wall if it happened to me.
Buy a big bag of M&M's and don't share any.
Hang in there and go again.

Winter fishing sucks...March will be here before you know it!

Keep trying, you're one fishing trip away from finding a new honey hole (or at least that's how I like to view bad trips). One of these day's you'll hit pay dirt.

Stay away from the river and go find a nice creek somewhere.
Boom goes the dynamite.

"Mama said there be days like this"

Don't worry this weather we're having screws everything up.

It sucks because the last four Saturdays have been cold and rainy. That doesn't happen in April or May. I swear it's the curse of the Power Pole...ever since it's been put on, the weather's been terrible when I've planned on going. :smt011 Bring on March and Keaton Beach!

It must be that snazzy Canadian Tuxedo that's attracting all those redfish...

Tough fishing this time of year, I agree about the weather also it always seems to rain on Sat-Sun. Buy a kayak or canoe and save the gas. I fish out of a boat 9 months a year and a kayak in Jan- early March, If you can navigate in 3 inches or less for under 600$ and catch hundred of fish while your buddies in there 20k boats are struggling just to get it off the trailor, it sounds like a no-brainor.

I have spent time in Pin Hook Creek, Stony Bayou, and a few other creeks.....I just don’t think the fish like me...or karma is paying me back for telling the boss that the new Jack Plate was part of the new power head repair.....

My last good post was just before I slightly bent the truth about the Jack Plate...... :o

How long does Karma Last...or better yet does anyone know a good Witch Doctor that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield? :smt087

Flounder....If i bring home so much as a new rubber ducky (much less a Yak) there will be a whole lot of this :smt021 and no more of this :smt057 and if there is any less of that I will look like this :smt099
