Bottoms-Panacea 11/1-2/03

Post by wevans »

It was a breezy weekend, so I didn't fish my usual spots :( Saturday started off with a bang with the first cast bring in a 20.5" Trout, another 50 or so cast got an 18"er then the shorts started and that was all the keepers for a short day :D " had ta go to the Seafood Festival" :hammer: Sunday I started with the topwater fishin again but the chop was to much for them bigguns "had lots of BIG fish miss the lure" :-? got one 18"er then headed into Skipper Bay to try around the Oyster bars, the action on topwater had quit, they didn't seem ta want anything ta do with the jig under a CT, so I did what I hate doing and started bouncing the jig along the bottom :o that was apparently what they was waitin for :D I got another 18" and two 16.5 and around 30+ 14"ers  all just anchored inbetween two bars 8) Early in the mornin they went for the Top Dog Jr., later in the day it was a chartues "SP" curly tail bounced along the bottom. Them danged dog flies are BAD out there right now to

Weevans,
You had a much better weekend than most in our area
We fished Alligator Harbor Saturday morning and the wind made it mighty tough! Those trout are in Alligator Harbor, but I've yet to catch on as how to catch those elusive buggers. The mullet are there too and we are hit and miss on them.

Good job wevans. Saturday I launched on my yard by 10:30am and had my limit of pine cones, sticks, pinestraw, lawnmowing and pile burning by about 4:30 and came in off the yard. :o
