Carabelle 2/10/08 The Bad With the Good

Post by tin can »

Went back today. It was definitely different than yesterday. The wind was rollin pretty good out of the north when I got there, and didn't let up until about 4 this afternoon. Needless to say, the area we fished yesterday didn't produce today. So I seized the opportunity and burned gas. Covered about 40 miles today. Saw Littoral again today. He was busy catching fish when I eased up on him.

Not much catchin today. Managed 1 red (thanks, Littoral) and 1 flounder. But I did see a lot of territory I'll be back to investigate later.

Me and Mojo headed out today too - only similarity between today and yesterday was we couldn't catch a slot red. It was cold and windy and maybe half the water of yesterday. It was a gale force skunking for us.

Only interesting thing today really was that we tried out the 'honey hole' the guy we towed yesterday gave us. We immediately got hits, but mojo and I both got our lines stuck in rocks somethin fierce after a few casts, got frustrated and wanted to hit some other spots on the incoming tide, which was just really starting to happen at the time, so we left. We'll go back and check it again some time...

Thanks for the report TC - and good job finding anything in this weather
