Alligator Point 2/10/08

Post by Littoral »

My boat drafts less than 6 inches but evidently fish need more than 6 inches of water.
I went out at first light and paddled (puddled) for 5 hours through a minus tide looking for fish in no water.
Winds at least 15k out of the north didn’t help.
But it was educational (my usual rationale when what I want to happen doesn't).
I tried everywhere and everywhere else but just couldn’t find fish until the tide turned enough to counter the wind.
With the last hour I had I did great on Redfish before I had to hightail it home. Caught about 10 reds and 3 trout.
I felt redeemed to have made it happen. :-D

Hey Littoral......I was sure those fish left AP when I did :-D  ...............with that water so clear and cold, I am amazed you still found so many around there, so is it mainly the smaller fish that hang around or did these come in the afternoon to warm up on the shallow water? :-? ................most importantly a huge well done mate, great job    :smt038 :smt041
