I like the steel leader myself, never had a problem :thumbup:

IMHO, I think floro is overrated. Since switching to regular BG or Stren, my hookups have actually increased and I have fewer breakoffs. I do not like the way floro knots or the way it shines at certain times. Just one person's opinion of course. :D

I was using Vanish 60lb a few weeks back when I went to the Keys, caught blackfin tuna and some big kings on it, no wire. I think it's pretty tough stuff. IMO, poor knot tying probably results in 90 % of leader failure, you gotta lick 'em :lick:
