Finally , back on the water!! Followed Bowd Up and some friends to the lighthouse Sunday afternoon to enjoy a day on the coast. Just a touch nipply when we took out across the bay at 50 something mph early that morning!! And I do mean nipply as mine could have rivaled Pam Andersons' in the Polar edition Baywatch episode!! Anyways, headed east in search of a few reds. Finally got into the creek I wanted to try and no luck, boated a few trout, nothing to write home about. Had a good time with Bow'd ,his cousin, their kids, and his brother in law and look forward to our next trip. Didnt have real high expectaions for the fishing, but we had a great time. Ran up with Sea Spot at the ramp and we planned a trip for the next day. All trout were caught on Gold eating utensils and jigs.

Met up with SeaSpot and headed to the Carrabelle River. Got to the river about 9:30 and headed west. Hit the first bar a few minutes later and SS hooked up on his first cast. I was really glad as I had been hyping this area for a while! Probably could have stayed there all day and caught trout but after eight or ten in about an hour, we decided it was time to ease over to a redfish hole. Blanked for an hour, moved to another, blanked again. Not to let my compadre doubt my fish findin skills, we moved to a shallow water haunt I like to fish in the mornings and afternoons. Fished around the bars and by God finally broke the jinx, hooked up with the first red of the day. Two casts later I hooked another. Then SeaSpot hooked up. Looked down at our watches and realized it was time to head out as Keith had to pick up his boat from advantage by 6:00 pm. I guess puttin seven reds in the boat in the last hour of the day aint too bad of a way to end the trip! Had a great time Keith, youre a dayum good angler, and I look forward to the next time. Sorry it took me all day to put you on some reds, but thanks to the lord we finally got in 'em a bit! Total tally for the day, 15-20 trout up to 18" and seven reds up to 21-1/2". Not too bad for a cold windy February Day!! All trout were caught on jigheads featuring the awesome new bait, Appalachicola Jewels(BB special edition) , gold eating utensils , and flavor enhanced plastic baits. All reds were enticed with the same eating utensils and more Appalachicola Jewels being applied in a way only BB and SeaSpot have perfected.
SeaSpot 21" red

BB 21" red

BB 21-1/2 " red

SeaSpot with a fat 18 "trout

Dang that wind made me look like the Michelin man, I look a good two or three lbs heavier than I am!!
