St. Joe 2.28.08

Launched boat about 12:30 1:00. Went South....Went East....Went West....Went South again. Covered miles of grass, potholes, sand holes. Poled the boat for 5 hrs. saw 15+- Reds, 12 sheephead, 0 trout, 0 mullet, three crabs.

Those crabs could have been easily caught. They were frozen. :(

There was nothing moving out there. What reds we saw were gone as soon as we saw them. Never saw a trout. The birds weren't moving. We never saw a mullet. It was dead out there.

I was down that way on the 1st, did good on reds in the canal, then hooked a good fish on the cape side late in the after noon on my fly rod while learning how to cast. He schooled me and got off. Saw 6 of them, all of them were upper slot fish. (first post)
