Hey Folks,
I read this forum alot but have never posted before. Thought I'd give it a try - not too computer savvy I'm afraid.
Got to lighthouse about 9:30 Sunday. Tried a few drifts over west flats - nothing! Went out further and things started picking up some. I had a pretty regular activity. Several break offs. Ended the day at 3 p.m. Total keepable catch: nine trout (1 - 21" speckled, 1 - 17" sand, rest were 15 1/2" ish) 1 - 20" mackeral, 1- 20" blue. Lost another very large trout right at the boat and another large blue too. Landed one shark, one cat and fought off an "attack" puffer. All keepable fish were caught with an electric chicken SWA, except for the mackeral which hit a live shrimp and a handful of shorts !
The day was beautiful, gentle swells, clear water, warm. All in all it was a great way to spend a day! Of course that's easy for me to say since I was the one fishing with the SWA!!!!
