For some of our newer forum members, you can call a buoy to get current wind speed and other info. Follow the links in the post below for the information for the area you are interested in.

Dial a Buoy # is 1-888-701-8992.
Area buoy identifiers are;
Keaton Beach=ktnf1
Shell point= shpf1
Apalachicola= apxf1
Panama City= pcbf1
Cedar Key= cdrf1

Problem lately is half of the stations seem to be out of commission. I know I used to use 42036 ( it has the wave height ) to get an idea of what seas were like offshore, but it is dead as of feb 20th.
