Got to the bay this morning around 10:30 with a steady rising tide and NW wind at 10mph. Fished for 2 hours waiting on my wife to join me and got these two to eat a jerk bait.
12:30 headed back in to Presnells to pick up my wife and we ran back out to some 2' sand/grass flats and immediately starting picking fish off with 3" Gulp Jerk Shad. She casted over my line to foul me up and steal this guy from me!!!
Caught a few more on that drift and then the wind did a 180 and blew from the south east so we just switched sides and fished back toward the hill and we started catching one after another.
17 fish total and we left them still biting. A couple of puppies but most fish were in the 22-26" range with a couple of nice fat ones. Fun day!!
The water looks beautiful. I'm headed to the Cape this weekend and wasn't going tow a boat all they way after fishing Keaton on Saturday, but I may now.
FWIW-I think it was you who left me a VM this weeken asking about the tourney, and if so I apologize for not getting back to you in timely fashion. I was in Perry searching for a gobbler...found a little guy.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
