Lake Hall - March 16

Post by Terrier »

Fished Lake Hall from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM - slow day under bluebird conditions. The wind was up early (why is the wind always howling on the weekends?) but settled out to a breeze by noon. Ended up with 4 bass, all small: 3 on a Norman DLN. 1 on a senko. I missed 1 on a jerkbait. I saw a few bass being caught by other fishermen, but not many. I did get reports of a 10lb and 12 lb bass being caught on trolled shiners this past week. Also, another fisherman I talked to at the ramp saw some bass bedding along a seawall by the private homes.

  4 bass beats no bass. WTG. I read articles about trolling shiners but never tried it.

How was the water level and the boat ramp? I wonder if I could put my Bass Tracker in.

Dick -
If your bass tracker is one of those 9' molded plastic boats you will have no problem launching at Lake Hall. The lake is about 2'-3' below full pool but has come up about that much since the recent rains.
