Finished doing the chores at 1:00 in the afternoon. Got the boar ready and headed for the fort with my son and dog. Drove by Jerrry's in time to see anglers rushing in from the coast. A few of the boats had been to the Aucillia (They were covered with the white dust from the management area) Arrived at the fort to discover the ramp was CLOSED..
It was a surprise to me, I have not been following the board news lately. Put the boat in at Shields around 3:00pm. The water in the river was 70 - 71 degrees and there was a light wind from the south. Every boat that passed us was on the way back to the ramp. Tried three or four different places in the river. Saw signs of Red fish smashing mullet now and again. We threw plastics the whole time. Caught nothing. The dog enjoyed the ride and even swam in the river. It felt good to be back on the water again.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
