Here's what burns my azz part deux....
The federal government is sending each and every one of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the majority of the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs, if we purchase a computer it will go to India, if we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Chile, Honduras, and Guatemala, if we purchase a good car it will go to Japan or Korea or Germany, if we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes, beer or at the the spa or beautyshop, since these are the only products/services still produced in the US. Thank you for your help.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?

Take the money and buy stock in an American company. I recommend Capital City Bank...CCBG on the NASDAQ. Its priced to buy right now.

I say pay down debt. Thats the only thing that will ultimately and effectively help our economy. Seventy percent of america falls under the cash constrained consumer moniker. When people dont owe as much and their money isnt prepromised to an outstanding debt each month( a little extra capitol( cash flow) each month in their pocket), then and only then will the economic tide of this country be able to once again flow consistently. Sorry Ben, you can cut rates all you want. It may do some short term good but this country has a lot of old garbage to haul off and a little shot of febreeze just covers it up!!

Amen. When I was younger, I fell for the borrow as much as you can and get all you can. Did not take me long to figure out who was getting rich and who was going broke. I did 2 good things in my 30's. Quit smoking, and quit borrowing....

We all know that JT is gonna go buy some more goat nannies. That way he can improve his exercise regimen (chasing nannies) and his sex life, if he is good at his exercise regimen
JT's motto....buy Goat...its the gift that keeps on giving
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

C'mon guys - there's still alot of fishing tackle made in the US; the government is giving you money and an excuse to buy, so lets do our part and start stimulating the economy with a couple of loomis or falcon or sage rods! I'm sure the wife will agree.

You're way ahead of me. I bought a Falcon Low Rider rod at Kevin's last week (for less than the mail order houses) and love it so much I'm going to buy some more with my rebate. That is, if She Who Must Be Obeyed says it's OK.Terrier wrote:C'mon guys - there's still alot of fishing tackle made in the US; the government is giving you money and an excuse to buy, so lets do our part and start stimulating the economy with a couple of loomis or falcon or sage rods!
